Yes, developers want revenue. We all need to eat. But an app should either be free or paid based on the nature of the app.

Unless I must have a particular app, if I download something marketed as free only to discover the advertised functionality comes at an in-store purchase – I instantly delete the app and give it a bad review.

The last thing I need is developers trying to be sneaky about the nature of their app. Further, very, very, very few in-app purchases are worth the price. Most of the time they are features that can be found by their competition anyway. Once a developer has the mindset to nickle and dime their consumer, the quality of the product usually begins to falter.

I am currently working as an I.T Business Analyst for a global telecom company, but it’s ready by default due to my passion for connecting-the-dots. As many, next year I will be venturing into the deep (market) to explore my real “life-work” when time permits. The questions are always, “how and with what tools?” Thanks
