There is another way to cheat the app and that is set your time 2 hours ahead and all your life will be full. Same goes in case of quest, set the next date on your device for next day and with full life you can play ahead. I will like to mention here that in 1 month I have completed all the levels without spending a single penny on the app! its fells like an achievement.
Also I will like to add is that the most important thing for the success of this app was the competition it build among the users, whenever you meet anyone the first thing they ask is Oh Candy Crush! Which level.

I definitely don’t think many users think like I do when they play games. If they did, I doubt Candy Crush would be making so much money 🙂 Good luck with your games!

Thanks for the comment, cc. I do wonder why people choose to play Candy Crush when they’re bored, though, when there are so many other options. Something to think about!

When I finally make my own game, I’d like to keep a certain level of integrity. I’d also like to know how users feel when they recognize these tactics of Candy Crush.

Either way, it definitely won’t be a business model I plan on following. I plan on making games for fun (and I will obviously make far, far less money than Candy Crush).

I think it is at least as likely that they are just bored/wanting a distraction.
